ReadMeFirst! (for first time visitor)
It's five days before Christmas. Just like the previous years, I will spend my last two weeks of the year in Sabah, one of the two states in East Malaysia (North Borneo) - the island I was born in 1962. Sabah is also known as The Land Below The Wind because of its location just south of the typhoon-prone Philippines. I arrived in the state capitol, Kota Kinabalu 3 days ago after a 3 hours drive from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur followed by another two and a half hours time-for-sleep on a plane, while flying across the South China Sea. And here I am in Kota Kinabalu, missing my grapevines.
How are they doing? Clusters 01 and Clusters 02 - are they getting bigger? And how about the rest of the more than 20 young grape clusters? I hope I will get a nice surprise when I return to Ipoh on the first day of the new year 2012.
Here are some pictures I took the day before I left Ipoh on the 17 Dec.
