Ahhh...it's nice to be back after the long 'layoff' from blogging about my grapevine.Well, let me just go straight to the point with lots of pictures to avoid typing long sentences. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. So here we go, pictures describing millions of words, arranged by the "latest on top" and followed by the history. For the record, the grapevine was pruned on the 8th Apr 2012.

8th July 2012, Veraison Stage (coloration is taking place prior to ripening)

11th May 2012 - Fruit Setting Stage
Unfortunately, only 84 fruit clusters survived the May 7th tropical storm in Ipoh.

1st May 2012 - Flowers Blooming Stage (Total flower clusters = 109 !!)
26 Apr 2012 - Development of Young Shoots After 2 Weeks of Pruning
21 Apr 2012 - More flower buds!
18 Apr 2012 - The 1st two flower buds! (10 days after pruning)
17 Apr 2012 - New shoots coming out!
15 Apr 2012 - Buds Breaking Stage (1 week after pruning)
13 April 2012 - 5 days after pruning the Isabella Madu grapevine

ReplyDeleteGreat blog you have :-D Im also a gardener and grapes fan. I have one red grape seedling at home in KK but not sure what type it is I suspected it might be Alphoso lavelle or isabella.
apa rasa dia? sweet or sour? I think it must be Isabella - red. AL is black. Where do you live? I am now in KK til 1Jan for Xmas holidays.
